Saumitra's love for filmmaking began in his mid-teens, where he explored the art of crafting narratives through short films and non-fiction pieces. Prior to his cinematography studies, he delved into Psychology, adding layers of understanding to his work behind the camera.

When not immersed in the world of cinematography, Saumitra enjoys expanding his creative horizons, dabbling in street photography, graphic design, and even experimenting with voice modulations. He believes in the power of collaboration and a holistic approach to storytelling, striving to create work that resonates deeply with audiences.
